I have taken thousands of images over the past few years, but every now and then I go back over the old ones and the same ones always stand out. This is one of my favourites: The Lower Ord River near Kununurra.
Stalking crocodiles
Another shore excursion…I wasn’t looking for crocodiles and was hoping they weren’t looking for me, but walking around in the mangroves at Augustus Island, one of the larger islands on the Kimberley coast you do feel as though you’re being watched with a view to dinner.
Microbats
Huddled under an overhang at Ruby Falls in Red Cone Creek at the back of Doubtful Bay are a small cluster of microbats, one of 22 species in the Kimberley and one of 35 in Western Australia.
