A few weeks ago I downloaded the beta version of Adobe Lightroom 4 and then promptly forgot about it. With thousands of images to go through after our 9 day trip up the coast I decided to have another look.
My first impression of Lightroom 4 was that it was slow to load the images and I had a few problems sorting out how to import limited selections, but after figuring out a workaround, I’m impressed. The dark interface works well with the images and complements Photoshop CS6, and the HDR presets that I downloaded here are fantastic and really easy to apply (just go easy!).
There’s also a new HDR function in Photoshop with more control over tonal values. I’d still love to be able to reduce the ghosting, but maybe that will come in time.
